I am installing and re-installing a number of test servers with opensolaris build 111 and do not have access to a caching proxy to cache my pkg downloads. I was hoping that I could clone the pkg cache to each server as I am used to doing with apt-get on ubuntu but could not find any info on google. Please tell me whether it should work if I copy /var/pkg from one server to another? I need the server to not automatically install any of the copied packages but only save me some download bandwidth if I at a later stage ask to install any of them.
