Apologies to people who are not concerned with Sun's internal delivery
process.
My question here originated in a thread with David Comay, but I know
he's a busy guy.
Maybe someone here can answer my question. The issue came up again of
Sun Studio wanting to
be in multiple categories in the Package Manager. I'd like to file an
RFE for it so that we
can retain our knowledge of the issue in a more organized way.
With that in mind, my question is:
Is it currently possible to put multiple "classification" lines in the
"distro import config file"
(Is there a name for such files?) I currently see this line:
> classification "Development/Integrated Development Environments"
In our config file:
http://src.opensolaris.org/source/xref/pkg/gate/src/util/distro-import/unbundleds/Studio
Can we just add more "classification" lines to get the metadata into the
package?
Obviously once we add the metadata to the package, we would need to GUI
to show
packages in multiple categories.
I'm trying to figure out which RFEs to file.
