I don't see the problem.

If you uninstall QFS on a live system, what do you want it to do?
It needs to verify the file system(s) are in a quiesced state.

Why not simply define a service that when disabled unmounts the
filesystems?
It might be possible, but it needs to be thought out. It's not something we're going to do in the current release.
