Yes, Build 111b did not require any Solaris package changes, so you must
use snv_111a.

Shawn and Danek,
I can not see 111b under either /net/netinstall.sfbay/export/nv/x/ or
IPS gate/src/util/distro-import/. Does this mean that I can only
create new repo from snv_111a?
Thanks,

Thank you for the information. After having ran `pkg update-image`
for the global zone, this problem is resolved.
I installed Opensolaris 2009.06 and did `pkg update-image1` from
opensolaris.org/release for a few times. But my repo is built from
snv_111a plus project-built ONNV packages. Is it safe to update the
global zone from my new repo? I'm seeing a lot of various warning
messages during rebooting the system, but it works well so far.
Whether it is safe to update the global zone from your new repository
depends entirely on what you've done with your repository. That's a
question only you can answer.
However, I wouldn't recommend it in this particular case as you are
using snv111a instead of snv111b which is what was 2009.06 was based on.
Cheers,
