I've successfully created my own nwam ips repository and image-updated to it.
The only caveat was that I had to manually add new users, groups,
authorizations and changes in the owner/permission of files before I ran
image-update.
Is it possible to have image-update or pkg do these changes automatically?
What changes would I have to make to my ips source to achieve this?
Is this integration planned for ON in the near future? If so, you
still will need to update the usual set of files under usr/src/cmd/Adm
and usr/src/lib/libsecdb. The distribution team will automatically
update the appropriate import manifest files when we resync to that
build.
Longer term, we will be moving this information to the consolidations
that are delivering the packages.
