The problem is that revision 1271 changed what is returned by
plan_update_all. The call in gui/modules/installupdate.py was changed
but the call in checkforupdates.py was not changed.
The api should have been rev'd and doc/client_api_versions.txt updated
because of the incompatible change in the return arguments.
