As an outgrowth of Rudolf Kutina's recent work to use AI along with a
base metapackage to generate the initial 2009.06 iteration of the JeOS
VM image prototype, this week we intend to publish an example of a JeOS
base meta package for review and discussion.
As a complement to the actual metapackage, we're also morphing a Sun
reduced installation support document for Solaris 10 from 2006 by
bringing it in line with OpenSolaris and use of pkg(5).
The intent of all of this is to arrive at a standard base metapackage
that will be supported down the road.
In which forums would you folks like to discuss the background and
specifics around that metapackage and/or a series of related
metapackages? caiman-discuss? pkg-discuss? Both?
