We are getting the same error even after making the change in
"/usr/lib/python2.4/vendor-packages/pkg/client/retrieve.py" file. :-(

You took johansen too literally. That statement needs to be on a line of
its own, before the "raise VersionRetrievalError" line, but indented to the
same place.
