Is anyone else getting this error trying to install ILB? Any tips on
how to resolve it? I've been searching but have not been able to find
a solution/work around.
all...@opensolaris:~$ pfexec pkg install SUNWilb
Creating Plan /
pkg: The following package(s) violated constraints:
Package pkg:/[email protected],5.11-0.129 conflicts with
constraint in installed pkg:/entire:
Pkg SUNWcsl: Optional min_version: 0.5.11,5.11-0.111
max version: 0.5.11,5.11-0.111 defined by: pkg:/entire
I have not had this problem.
Can you please tell me what steps you used . Did you do these sreps (
especialy step 3, and 4)?:
1. Install 2009.06 release (see
http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Main/downloads)
Yes, it was a fresh install of 2009.06
2. Change your publisher for "opensolaris.org" to
http://pkg.opensolaris.org/dev/
Did that via the command: pfexec pkg set-publisher -O
http://pkg.opensolaris.org/dev opensolaris.org
3. Type pkg image-update or use the Package Manager GUI to update to the
latest development build. If you are using Package Manager, you need to refresh
(GUI} and then install.
Yes, did this after the set-publisher command was run
4. Reboot the system
it was rebooted after the image update
5. Install the SUNWilb IPS package by typing pkg install SUNWilb
ran this install command: pfexec pkg install SUNWilb
Thanks,
Allan

Folks ,
ILB provides in-kernel implementation of Layer 3 and Layer 4 load balancing
capabilities for the Solaris. Key features of ILB include the following:
- Stateless Direct Server Return (DSR) and Network Address Translation (NAT)
modes of operation for IPv4 and IPv6
- ILB administration through command line interface (CLI)
- server monitoring capabilities through health checks.
Please visit :

to get directions on how to download and configure ILB on your system. We
invite you to try it and provide feedback at [email protected]. Your
participation and feedback is crucial to us for planning new features and
enhancements in ILB.
Looking forward to hearing from all of you
