I've updated the proposed new package name lists for bug #6186,
incorporating the feedback that's been received so far (thanks):

As you've probably seen, everybody has their own ideas of what
these names should be, so I've sided on the input from the leaders
of various groups. For example:
Laszlo Peter - Desktop / GNOME packages
Norm Jacobs - Printing pacxkages.
Alan Coopersmith - X related packages
Install group (various) - Caiman/installer packages
David Comay (OpenSolaris Tech lead) - all other packages.
These names are not finalized yet. I know David is going to go
through the remainder of the previous new name list and propose
alternatives. I expect a lot more changes/adjustments to occur.
I'm also sure there is going to be a lot more discussion. Lots of
questions have been asked so far, for which answers have not yet
been given. Hopefully these will be taken into consideration as the
new names are ratified.
