Folks - no meeting today just bug review with ips gui team.
Status:
- 14150, 13888 and 13440: l10n changes are being reviewed and should
land tomorrow.
- 6186: Mass renaming: in order to change the name algorithm (9437) the
new package names need to land, not sure when this is going to happen
for 2010.03. Once it lands 9437 should be marked as a stopper.
- 13774, 6914346 Updated, P2 kernel/boot upgrade from OpenSolaris
2009.06 (111b2) to 130 fails with stale archive_cache. Target b134,
nothing for ips-gui to do, except test this works for us.
Will update status of defects.opensolaris.org as the site seems to be
down at the minute :(

Target 133: 5658 update manager needs to be a lot smarter about when I
need a new BE
We will not be implementing any changes here for 2010.03 as this is not
a stopper.
Invalid: 13521 Memory increased when manipulating publishers
Tradeoff for performance with new List API and catalog changes, not a
memory leak.

Doc Bug:
- Log to track doc issues that did not get into 2010.03, including Click
Thru License and Log Dialog.
12057: GUI and CLI should have the same error output (against API Python)
- We should share error messages between clients as there is a lot of
duplication and as errors change the clients get out of sync. The CLI is
putting in a lot of '\n' that are not appropriate for the GUI so we need
to parameterize these strings. This should be done post 2010.03.

- New Dialogs to support Adding and Managing Publishers
- Includes setting Priority ordering for Publishers and Multiple Origin
support
Search Enhancements:
- Now using the Search API for all searches
- Have Cancel Search support
- Can also search names in any of the displayed lists by just typing
when focus on the list.
Browse Enhancements:
- Enhanced Details tab, added Dependencies and Package Version Info support
- Tree Category support added for easy navigation
- Save Recent Searches for easy access by the user during a session
- Provide various Search Help pages.
Dynamic Category support:
- All packages are classified dynamically and placed in a single
consistent category schema across all publishers
(org.opensolaris.category.2008)
Install/Update All Enhancements:
- Progress (byte based) and Cancel
- Check for Updates workflow simplified
- Provide a All Publishers (Installed) view to list all installed
packages on the system.

Export/Send P5i:
- Export selected packages as a p5i file
Start Page:
- Adding a new Start Page to give users access to Popular, Recently
added and Recommended packages from different Publishers, including
contrib and extra.
Automated Test:
- LDTP integrated into IPS gate.
- Rework LDTP tests to test current and new functionality.
Infrastructure:
Now using List API's to access all package lists on the system, instead
of having to rely on a GUI cache which has now been removed.
