Hi John,
I've used onu in the past and it worked great. For this particular case,
we've just setup the repo http://mpkpen-ai-3.sfbay/on-nightly/ for our
project gate's packages and I wanted to test it out, so I tried a "pkg
image-update". It was supposed to be a quick "yup our repo is working"
test but when it didn't work my questions kept growing, as you can tell
from my first email.
My main questions are:
1. Why isn't the pkg image-update working when I try to update to my
repo's nv_137 based packages, on a machine running 134a?
2. Why am I getting the "This version is excluded by installed
incorporation..." error when I try "pkg install SUNWcs"? Since SUNWcs in
my repo is a newer version than what's installed. Even after I deleted
the "entire" package I get the same error.
Thanks,
Janie

Why don't you just use onu? It's a wrapper to make situations just like
this much easier. See usr/src/tools/scripts/ for the onu.sh script and
the onu.1 man page.
