try /bin/find
/bin is linked to /usr/bin; /usr/bin/find has the same problem as gnu find,
just a different error message. However, the problem in this case is
really the mplayer install. Mea Culpa for jumping to conclusions just
because pkg recreated the link. As Alan indirectly pointed out, I should
have checked an older install first...
Having just been struggling with a mixture of yum, apt, and dpkg, I
appreciate pkg more than ever and how gracefully it recovered from
whatever caused the omissions. That's what is so great about Open
Solaris - it feels like a properly engineered solution vs. something
that grew haphazardly.
