I completely botched the SMF service script changes (apparently) during
changeset 1968. I would swear that it was working before I putback, but
it appears I was wrong:
16562 pkg.depotd SMF method script busted
The fix follows:

Yes, the depot always needs fork & exec now due to how SMF configuration
information is currently retrieved.
