My wild speculation would be that --be-name is to be used only by
packages that require a new BE. I don't think
pkg:/database/mysql-50/connector/jdbc is one of those...

Hi
What am I doing wrong here:
r...@kilcolgan:~# pkg install --be-name=snv_150
pkg:/database/mysql-50/connector/jdbc
pkg install: illegal option -- be-name
Usage:
pkg install [-nvq] [--accept] [--licenses] [--no-index] [--no-refresh]
[--deny-new-be | --require-new-be] [--be-name name]
pkg_fmri_pattern ...
r...@kilcolgan:~#
this is build 149. Both man page and help seem to indicate above is
correct, I can install the package to live BE no problem, just addign
--be-name=snv_149 fails.
r...@kilcolgan:~# pkg install
pkg install: at least one package name required
Usage:
pkg install [-nvq] [--accept] [--licenses] [--no-index] [--no-refresh]
[--deny-new-be | --require-new-be] [--be-name name]
pkg_fmri_pattern ...
r...@kilcolgan:~#
I can use
--require-new-be on it's won fine, but not able to get it to use
--be-name at all.
r...@kilcolgan:~# pkg install --require-new-be --be-name=enda
pkg:/database/mysql-50/connector/jdbc
pkg install: illegal option -- be-name
Usage:
the error is slight out ( -- be-name ) and also when using pkg
image-update I always use --be-name=snv_149 say, so text that says
"--be-name name" might be better to show the "="
