Can someone explain how to correctly map Solaris 10 packages to Solaris 11
in an automated fashion?
As Alan and Shawn indicated, there isn't a clear mapping particularly
between the SVR4 packages and the IPS packages in Solaris 11. There is
an outdated table here
http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Project+pkg/Renamed
that can provide a rough idea for many of the Solaris 10 packages but
it doesn't reflect the merging and/or refactoring that took place and
hasn't been updated since Solaris 11 Express (and even that it was
mapping older IPS names to the newer ones.)
