yes, all that is nice. However, all that is really just the "easy stuff".
They're basically happy that solaris has basically caught up to what yum
and apt-get have been doing for a decade. Except it's doing it at 25%
speed.
Oh well, guess I'll continue on writing ipsutil. We'll see what happens
first: when 'pkg' starts matching the speed of the rest of the world, or
when ipsutil fully replaces all pkg functionality that solaris users
care about.
I added contents listing and pkg name search today. hard and softlinks
were done yesterday.
dependency handling shouldnt be too far off.
Perhaps I'll have something interesting to announce at OpenWorld
