Ok, but this will cause a pointless delta between Debian and upstream. Anyway if I understood correctly, dpkg-trigger should be called from a maintainer script, and in an update/install process (?) with apt/dpkg. This doesn't happen always, dkms can be used also in command line. Do you agree?
