simple questions are better than hard ones ;) and yes -- with 0.4.7 release scaling issue should have been resolved -- all data, while read from NIfTI (your .img/.hdr are nifti ones, not analyze, right?) will be scaled appropriately upon loading from 1 or multiple volumes (unless you explicitly instruct it not to do so with 'scale_data=False')
