Sorry that I am starting another thread -- but I just got subscribed to this list and http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-fso-maint/2009-March/000826.html has no way to get the msg in mbox format, nor there is Message-ID. But I want to follow up... and want to follow up here, not in smartphones-userland since it is related to packaging! packages must be such that no such tweaking should be needed
> However there are still blocking problems - tiny font and no launcher > icons. ICONS: as I've reported in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=514018 copying /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu from FSO resolved the issue for me -- I see icons now ;) sorry that it is that unscientific and I haven't troubleshooted it to a proper fix FONTS: I've switched to use Xglamo specified in /etc/init.d/nodm X_OPTIONS="vt4 -nolisten tcp -dpi 138" nb 138 should slightly be higher, but I've not played with it to choose the optimum and then in illume settings -> Look -> Scaling Scale with DPI - on Base DPI 98 -> Display -> Launcher Icon size - Very large Now all the fonts icons are close to perfect sizes imho. there is two issues though which I guess I should file against e17: 1. no scrolling in 'gadgets area'. in FSO scroll left<->right effects in the same as clicking left or right arrows -- ie switching to another open app 2. gadgets in visible panel are not 'clickable' when I click on battery -- nothing happens (should reveal % charged) when I click on added wrench for config -- no illume configuration comes up icons are clickable in 'hidden' area when I make it visible -- Yaroslav Halchenko Research Assistant, Psychology Department, Rutgers-Newark Student Ph.D. @ CS Dept.
