Then there would be > no forks at all, just a helpful takeover. that would be ideal strategy but there are complications:
1. pedantic me started the fork with cleaning up the code (uniform indentation etc) 2. some decisions made by paul tt are not in favor of primary developer in our fork (Dylan). 3. there is no quantized history of changes (ie separate commits) for neither of forks before I initiated git repository (some time In Feb) and just unrolled tarballs from Dylan and Paul into separate branches. So cherry picking of early changes is not viable to summarize, merging both branches require quite a bit of work, probably feature-by-feature base, and I lack that time now... may be later > I see you are an experienced developer > (http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=debian% > 40onerussian.com&comaint=yes), so I won’t insist on a reviewing > sponsorship first. sponsorship is not required indeed (at least for Debian main ;)) but spare pair of eyes never hurt! if you like I can announce to the list whenever I am about to upload so anyone could have a look > Please tell me your alioth user name, and I’ll add > you to the project.
