This is how it the d-i is started on the Kurobox Pro (although to/from harddisk instead of SD). (Actually on most NAS devices that Debian support iirc.) It is fairly simple for the user to perform an installation this way. (Write d-i images to somewhere, configure boot-loader, reboot, SSH in [on the FR you could possibly use the screen though].) -- Per > * Start d-i kernel and netinst initramfs via kexec directly from a > running Linux on the FreeRunner (iff the FreeRunner kernel supports > this). > > * Install Windows on the FreeRunner and use > http://goodbye-microsoft.com/ :-) > > I’m wondering though how much RAM is left when we put a complete d-i > netinst into the initramfs. > > Greetings, > Joachim > > -- > Joachim "nomeata" Breitner > Debian Developer > [email protected] | ICQ# 74513189 | GPG-Keyid: 4743206C > JID: [email protected] | http://people.debian.org/~nomeata > > _______________________________________________ > pkg-fso-maint mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-fso-maint > > _______________________________________________ pkg-fso-maint mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-fso-maint
