If my interpretation of the report is correct, then this isn't really a
bug, just a behavioural "quirk" inherited from classic doom, and one
that no port author would likely change (it would desync all demos etc.)
No response to my request for clarification in the last 4-5 months (last
contact was 15 months ago)
