Regarding the aiming-left bug:
When building the source package for abuse-sdl on i386, I wanted to turn
off optimization so I could look at all the variables in gdb. After
deleting all instances of "-O2" in the ./configure script, and rebuilding
the binary, I ran abuse.sdl.
To my astonishment, the aiming bug disappeared.
I'm very much a novice in C and gdb projects of this scale (although I did
design most of the Free Abuse levels :) ), so if anyone can "run with this
information" and fix the problem, please go for it.
