Bug description:
Extreme Tux Racer is a continuation of Planet Penguin Racer, which seems to be
dead. The homepage is at http://www.extremetuxracer.com/, and upstream already
provides usable Debian packages.

Apparently this bug is being treated as a request for packaging of Extreme Tux
Racer, so this is a revised description. Original description below:

I've tried the 'alpha' version from http://projects.planetpenguin.de/racer/,
and in my opinion it is better to ship that than 0.3.1, which is getting very
stale.

Some reasons to ship the newer one:
-0.3.1 won't let you bind non alphanumeric keys, 0.5 does
-0.3.1 has a bug that has been fixed, where hitting enter allows the user to
enter any race, even if they shouldn't be allowed.
-0.5 has more flexibility in the options menus
-despite being labeled an alpha release, I've had no problems with 0.5
