There is an explanation how to add a PPA to your system if you follow the link "Read about installing" on the PPA's site. Note that a newer version (2.2.0-1) is available for Ubuntu Karmic and Lucid in the pkg-games PPA [1]. Regards, Ansgar [1] <https://launchpad.net/~pkg-games/+archive/ppa> -- freeciv: user settings overwritten and overridden https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/276961 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Debian/Ubuntu Games Team, which is subscribed to freeciv in ubuntu. Status in “freeciv” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I use freeciv-client-gtk 2.1.3-1 on ubuntu 8.04 this is not a bug in ubuntu, but freeciv does not have a usable bug tracker, so I m reporting it here. 1. freeciv overwrites user settings in the .civclientrc file: e.g., when I create a "global worklist", it does NOT persist between sessions (it IS saved into the .civclientrc file, but on the next civclient invocation the global worklist is no longer available). 2. when I start the client and type "/read .freeciv/my" to load my server settings, the settings _are_ loaded. but when I leave the game, the default settings are restored and I have to re-issue the "/read" command. _______________________________________________ Pkg-games-ubuntu mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-games-ubuntu
