I have try PC's with Intel GPU (GMA950) and ATi GPU with open-source drivers (Radeon 9600Pro & Xpress 200 IGP). These are all affected. Playing the game in a window (not full-screen) does not make the brightness-setting work. Systems with nVidia GPU & closed source drivers are NOT affected.
