Thanks for reporting this issue.
When installing tecnoballz, it is now added to the menu / Unity dash as
expected. This seems to have been fixed a while back, see relevant
changelog entry:

Binary package hint: tecnoballz
Ubuntu 9.10, tecnoballz 0.92-2.1. The problem is the line in the
.desktop file that reads "Categories=X-Debian-Games-Arcade;". Changing
it to "Categories=Game" causes the menu entry to appear.
