Let's assume it's fixed. (I'm at work so I can't test sound, but if I unset SDL_AUDIODRIVER and run kobodl, it doesn't hang. I'm on Ubuntu 15.10.)

The console in the meanwhile has messages like [9631] Audio command FIFO overflow! constantly repeating. Additionally, when I exit, kobodl hangs after printing [17004] Stopping audio engine... If it was in full-screen mode, the X server is currently locked so you cannot do *anything*, except Ctrl+Alt+F1, log in via text mode and killall kobodl, after which it cleanly exits after printing [80578] Second try quitting; using brutal method! There's a workaround: export SDL_AUDIODRIVER=pulse before running kobodl.
