This package contains a config file
/etc/renderd.conf
which contains:
plugins_dir=/usr/lib/mapnik/3.1/input
That was correct for bookworm (which used libmapnik3.1)
but not trixie (which uses libmapnik4.0).
Depending on architecture it should now be something like
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/mapnik/4.0/input
The relevant dependency is
