As far as I can tell, the hdf5 libraries and development files shipped with debian unstable do not have fortran95 support enabled. I was wondering why this is, and if I could help to make the fortran95 bindings available. I have managed to compile hdf5 from source with the fortran bindings using gfortran-4.2, but just the same I would like to improve the default packages if I can.
