Package: gdal-bin Version: 1.6.3-4+b1 Severity: minor File: /usr/share/man/man1/ogrinfo.1.gz
M-x man ogrinfo: /-------- | ogrinfo(1) ogrinfo(1) | | NAME | ogrinfo - .TH "ogrinfo" 1 "Sun Sep 5 2010" "GDAL" | \-------- And that's it. Using 'man' in a terminal, I get the above garbled output followed by a correct-looking manpage, but Emacs gives up at this point. I think the fix is to remove lines 2-5 of ogrinfo.1, which are a duplicate of 6-9. Just looks like an accidental paste. Of course, if ogrinfo.1 is generated from some other format (it doesn't say it is), perhaps the tool or the input is at fault? -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (900, 'stable'), (400, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32 (SMP w/4 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gdal-bin depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.4.4-8 GCC support library ii libgdal1-1.6.0 1.6.3-4+b1 Geospatial Data Abstraction Librar ii libstdc++6 4.4.4-8 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 gdal-bin recommends no packages.
