It's probably best to branch off laszip changes into a separate branch,
as I had hoped the ftp-master review would be done by now, but isn't
unfortunately.

I just pushed two changes from my local clone that are relevant for
liblas 1.7.0+dfsg-6 that I hadn't pushed yet.

A separate branch is probably not needed, we can just revert commit
dd0473026610874a2c12f430cd5772061a3368ef to undo the laszip change. When
laszip is accepted we can just reapply it.
