Package: bnd
Version: 3.5.0-4
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

the debian provided tomcat9 package (version 9.0.37-1) has a problem. 9.0.36
worked fine, but in 9.0.37
the tomcat developers (upstream) started to use the -includepackage
instruction, which is only found in
bnd starting with version 4.x . - the official tomcat build script downloads
the bnd 5.1.1 jar, which works
fine.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?

using the old bnd version breaks the compile because it silently filters out
classes of the generated jar files.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
