Actually. I misspoke... I don't know if this issue is fixed or not. A separate issue (https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/18737) related to josm and it's plugins needs a later release of OpenWebStart / icedtea-netx. I've installed 1.8.4-1 from testing on my personal device but not sure what the policy is with updating stable too (yes, i know backports and installing from testing are possible options for users).
