I did confirm by running the CI at https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-connector-java/-/pipelines that it works, so there is no technical reason not to have CI enabled in the repository.
There is a practical reason, it doesn't solve any problem, and there is an ethical reason, it would consume unnecessary resources.
