Scala is a Java-compatible programming language with modern features
(closures, pattern matching, parametric types, virtual type members).

This package provides Scala 2.12.x -- the compiler (scalac-2.12), runner
(scala-2.12), the standard library, reflection and scalap. It is built from
source with no sbt, bootstrapped from the scala-2.12-bootstrap STARR seed
(which is then dropped via self-host). It installs under /usr/share/scala-2.12
and coexists with the older scala (2.11) package. Scaladoc is a follow-on
(needs scala-xml built for 2.12).

Part of re-introducing sbt and a modern Scala to Debian (RFP #1125161).
Build-deps: scala-2.12-bootstrap, scala-asm (>= 9.9.0), libjline2-java, ant.
