Package: libswt2.1-gtk2-java
Version: 2.1.1-3
Severity: normal

Dear Jan,

Could you please split libswt2.1-java off from Eclipse? Eclipse's
contrib status is unfairly tainting libswt2.1-java making it impossible
for me to upload Anthony Jones's iRATE (#212740) into main.

As well, I don't understand the following entry in the Debian Changelog:

        eclipse (2.1.1-3) unstable; urgency=3Dlow
  =20
          * copyright: libswt2.1-gtk2-java is partly distributed under
          * LGPL.

Both libswt.sf.net and the copyright file state that it's Common Public
Licensed.

Yours sincerely,
Andrew "Netsnipe" Lau

We, the SWT Maintainer and the Eclipse Maintainers agreed to not do
this for several reasons. Mainly for Eclipse being tied to the same
version.
