Hi there, According to http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/0.90/graphics.html JIMI is no longer needed to build (or even to run) FOP starting from FOP 0.90, which is currently in an alpha stage. I suggest investigating that new release, and maybe uploading it to main/experimental.
