I'd love to have an easy way to configure Tomcat with APR support. According to
http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/apr.html
we would need
* APR library (already packaged as libapr1)
* OpenSSL libraries (already packaged as openssl)
* JNI wrappers for APR used by Tomcat (libtcnative) (not yet packaged)
Building instructions can be found on the page, too.
This issue is valid for tomcat6 as well.
