tag 515747 confirmed thanks I confirm the bug. It seems that eclipse doesn't recognize any other vm except the default one, or maybe I'm not able to tell him to start with that vm. Tried with: eclipse -vm /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun eclipse -vm /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre eclipse -vm file:///usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun eclipse -vm /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-gcj-4.3-1.5.0.0
But I always get: A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available in order to run Eclipse. No Java virtual machine was found after searching the following locations: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun Of course the path output is varying according to the -vm option. Notice that's not a symbolic link problem as the last one is not a symbolic link. -- http://syx.googlecode.com - Smalltalk YX http://lethalman.blogspot.com - Thoughts about computer technologies http://www.debian.org - The Universal Operating System
