Hi

Thanks for your report; however, this is the expected behavior.
eclipse-platform contains a minimum of required plugins to run eclipse.
The extra features you tried to installed depends on (parts of)
eclipse-plugin-cvs and eclipse-jdt.
  The error message is not very useful; but unfortunately it is all we
got for now.

NB: It is also common for plugins to depend on parts from eclipse-pde
(in case you see this error again and cannot deduct the Debian package).
