Current eclipse-egit in sid is 1.3.0-1, I tried to compile it with eclipse 3.8.0 and it builds without problems. Obviously your build failure is because in sid there is libjgit-java 1.3.0-2, but eclipse-egit 1.1.0-1 requires also 1.1.0 jgit.
