I've run into this exact problem on Ubuntu 14.04, which is obviously based on Debian.
I've tried Tony's advice of adding /usr/share/java/tomcat-coyote.jar to /etc/jetty/start.config but it didn't help. Perhaps I did it wrong, I don't really understand java configuration. If someone could post an exact patch to get this working that would be great. Thanks
