Sadly a dep-wait would not help here, as it's server-side. But then it only matters if the package is part of the base build chroot (like perl, or debhelper, or glibc). In that case there's another magic bit (extra-depends) that temporarily adds more stringent dependencies to the build-depends list. Kind regards Philipp Kern
