Please use Debbugs...
Debian has an issue tracker called debbugs. Despite its name it can
also track other kinds of issues than bugs, including the interest and
eventual preliminary work preparing a new package, before the package
is
added to Debian. Such issues are tracked by filing a bugreport
against
the psudo-packae "wnpp" with a type of either "RFP" or "ITP". See
more
details at https://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/
Please track new packages in Debbugs!
Today I wasted time creating a package apparently already in
preparation
for several years, because it was not tracked in Debbugs. I have
moved
aside that old work - please those involved in that mess cherry-pick
anything sensible and then delete the git repo:
https://salsa.debian.org/js-team/node-serialize-javascript.old
This package was rejected because it was considered too small by ftp
masters.
https://alioth-lists.debian.net/pipermail/pkg-javascript-devel/2018-September/028329.html
It is documented at https://wiki.debian.org/Javascript/Nodejs/NEW
and there was an ITP at that time
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=885137 which was
closed after it was rejected.
apt-file find node_modules/serialize-javascript
is a good way to find already embedded modules and probably a nice
addition to npm2deb search.
