In squeeze, Sphinx (documentation generator, which is popular in Python
world) generates JavaScript code that uses the className function, which
was removed in jQuery 1.4.
This is of course a bug in Sphinx that should be fixed (see #629329).
However, the buggy code ended up in (literally) dozens of packages, many
of them being arch:all. Rebuilding them all would be quite painful.
Taking this into account, would you consider patching jQuery in squeeze
to add the function back? Patch is available here:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=15;filename=jquery-628642.diff;att=1;bug=629329
Thanks for considering. Still, if you didn't want to implement such
change, that would be fully understandable. :)
