Hello javascript team, I'm writing some cross-platform free software that uses nw.js [1] (formerly node-webkit) as a framework. It lets you write desktop software using HTML, CSS, and javascript, and it also lets you do cool things like load node.js modules directly into the DOM. At the moment nw.js is the most popular framework that does this sort of thing.
I'd like to package my software for Debian, but this doesn't appear possible until nw.js is packaged first. At the moment, the GNU/Linux instructions for packaging nw.js apps [2] is simply horrible, basically requiring you to make a folder full of binaries in /opt to work. Would it be possible for someone on this team to package it? I would certainly appreciate it, and I think it could do a lot to improve Debian's javascript desktop app ecosystem.
