This package is not lintian clean, you should fix all warnings (lines starting with W). W: node-console-control-strings: description-too-long N: N: The first line of the "Description:" must not exceed 80 characters. N: W: node-console-control-strings: extra-license-file usr/lib/nodejs/console-control-strings/LICENSE You should remove LICENSE from debian/install You should ask upstream (open a new issue on their github project page) to create tag for new releases. It is preferred to use github tarballs rather than the npm dist tarballs.
