Package: john
Version: 1.6-33
Severity: minor

The john manpage says:

"Once John finds a password, it will be printed to
the terminal and saved into a file called
        ~/john.pot."

and

"While cracking, you can press any key for status,
or Ctrl+C to abort the session, saving point
information to a file ( ~/restore by default)."

However, a trial run of john demonstrates that it creates
./john.pot and ./restore (i.e. CWD not $HOME).

I was writing a quick patch to the manpage when I noticed
that it seems the upstream documents also refer to these
filenames and others similar, so it will have to be a bit
more extensive.
